Brecken is 28!!!

We had so much fun celebrating Brecken for his 28th birthday.

Appetizers were tons of veg served with hummus, homemade ranch dip, and spicy jelly with cream cheese. We stuffed ourselves nearly full.

Although, I am the only one who insists on family pictures each year - I am also the only person that will do family pictures once a year - meaning - I'd rather take pictures of our beautiful children and my hunky hubby any day - if you want me in front of the camera - you get just one day and time a year - HAHAHA.

Of course - all the girls wanted pictures individually with him as well.

Then back to the house for a feast "red meat" requested by Brecken (tri-tip), scalloped potatoes and Ceasar salad

We started our early evening with a round of quick pics - he was out of town for our full family pictures, so I wanted to be sure to get him in our picks with all his siblings and with his Dad and Jack.

While we waited for the dinner to cook - we got to open presents!!! Something we haven't done with Brecken for many, many years. It's always so hard to choose clothes for another person - or any other gift for that matter - but this year we went rogue and he liked everything we gave him!

The obligatory proper card full of cash (a tradition we've taken from Gma and Papa)
Biz got him a cotton scented candle (it means   ) and a large pink crystal because it means love

Maisie found him this shirt that looks comfy and that he said reminds him of his Grandma LoyAnn.
We found these awesome NorthFace shirt/jacket that look like a perfect warm camping shirt, work shirt or shirt that will last for ages - they were such good quality and were so good looking, we bought one for Brecken and also bought one for Patrick and Jack... for family pictures next year!!
Homies...
And Patrick found the perfect "Spyder" brand climbing jacket as that's what he's into right now

Cuuuuuute!!!

Future reference - Brecken's favorite treats are doughnuts - a doughnut cake next year it is!
